Botanical Name: Citrus sinensis

Type of Oil: Essential Oil

Extraction Method: Cold Pressed

Description

The orange five-fold essential oil has a sweet, citrus smell very similar to orange peels from where it is derived, only more intense and concentrated. It belongs to the Rutaceae family and is classed as a middle note.

Extracted from the peels, Orange's fivefold oil is more concentrated than the regular citrus essential oils as through extended distillation, terpenes are removed from the oil rendering them more suitable for cosmetic applications. The higher the fold(distillation) the more concentrated the oil is.

Orange 5 fold essential oil contains antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and bactericidal properties. The addition of the uplifting aroma it possesses makes it great for cleaning and enhancing one's mood.

The scent lasts longer and the 5 fold orange essential oil works well in cold process soaps.
