Davana is an aromatic herbaceous plant native to Southern India. Davana essential oils has a rich, fruity and slightly woody aroma. It also has a subtle aroma of vanilla. The plant grows 60cm in height, and bears silver grey to green leaves and the plant produces fragrant yellow flowers. The oil is steam distilled from the leaves and flowers of the Davana herb.
Skin: Davana essential oil has antiseptic properties and helps fight against infections and also protects skin against infection prone conditions such as acne, boils, pimples and stretch marks. This oil can also help in treat dry chapped and rough skin.

Caution: Avoid during pregnancy and with sensitive skin. It can cause possible sensitization in some individuals, so use in very low concentration only. It is important to note that all Essential Oils are extremely concentrated in nature and if to be applied on the skin or body, should always be diluted upto a maximum dosage of 4% in a suitable carrier oil.
