Cedarwood oil is extracted from the bark of the Atlas Cedar tree using steam distillation. It has woody, sweet, soothing and spicy aroma and has been used since ancient times by Greeks, Romans and Egyptians for perfumes and incense.
Skin: It can help soothe inflammation, irritation, redness and itchy skin along with the dryness leading to cracking, peeling or blistering. It also helps regulate production of sebum and thus eliminates acne causing bacteria. It also helps in re The purifying properties of this oil makes it an excellent addition to skin care products like facial toner or moisturiser.
Mind: It is a grounding and calming oil that promotes emotional balance and creates relaxing environment.
Other: It also makes up for an excellent insect repellent. You can create your own bug repellent using by mixing 2-3 drops of this oil with 2 ml of coconut oil and apply before going out. While gardening, it can also be added to topsoil to help keep insects at bay.

Caution: Avoid during pregnancy and with sensitive skin. It can cause possible sensitization in some individuals, so use in very low concentration only. It is important to note that all Essential Oils are extremely concentrated in nature and if to be applied on the skin or body, should always be diluted upto a maximum dosage of 4% in a suitable carrier oil.
