Black cumin oil is also known as Black seed oil (kalonji Oil) and is known for its stimulating, warming and regenerative properties. The extraction of the oil is done using cold process method using the seeds of the plant.
The use of this oil goes back more than 3000 years, with references of it being used by ancient Egyptians for skincare routines and beautifying baths. It has somewhat nutty, bitter, pungent odour and is cultivated throughout Asia, Middle East and Africa.
Skin & Hair: It can be topically applied to firm up the skin and increase hair growth. It is also helpful in prevention and removal of scars. It hydrates skin well and is quickly absorbed into skin with slight sheen. It promotes skin regeneration and reparation, thus facilitating a smooth, clear and brighter complexion.
Body: It eliminates harmful bacteria, stimulates strong immune response, facilitates skin healing process and eases muscular aches and joint pains.
Caution: Avoid during pregnancy and with sensitive skin. It can cause possible sensitization in some individuals, so use in very low concentration only. It is important to note that all Essential Oils are extremely concentrated in nature and if to be applied on the skin or body, should always be diluted upto a maximum dosage of 4% in a suitable carrier oil.
